When you ask for a quote through our website, a Facebook or Instagram form, by phone or by email, we collect the details you give us: usually your name, phone number, email address, suburb or address, and information about the fence or job (type, length, timing, and any photos you choose to send).
We use your details only to contact you about your enquiry, prepare and send your quote, arrange a site visit, carry out and invoice the work, and keep the records a business must keep. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Your details are seen by J&PL Contracting and the people who help run the business. If you contact us through a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta Platforms passes your form answers to us under its own privacy policy. We may share details with an insurer or assessor only when you ask us to quote for an insurance claim, or where the law requires it.
We store enquiries in our business email and records and take reasonable steps to protect them from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep quote and job records for as long as tax and building laws require, then delete them.
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. To do this, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us below. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
